Official Translation Of Documents SingaporeLEADING CERTIFIED TRANSLATION SERVICE IN SINGAPORE

For a successful business, especially those operating across international borders, precise content translation between languages is a prerequisite. This is because it is needed to translate legal and official documents, such as contracts, to prevent misunderstanding via language barriers.

Our experienced team is well-versed in several languages. They utilise writing, linguistic, translation, and interpretation techniques to get precise results. Because we do not use machine translation, we can translate the original official document content from the source language to the target language down to the last detail.

SCOPE

  • Certified documents for identity cards, licences, passports, marriage, divorce, education, and birth certificates
  • Affidavits, notarisation, agreements, contracts, articles of association, etc.
  • Technical documents, instructions, and operation manuals
  • Specialised documents on the legal, finance, medical, and manufacturing sectors
  • Patents, intellectual property rights, trademarks, etc.
  • Design & engineering specifications, game software
  • Emails, letters, minutes of meetings, training & lecture slides

The translation is usually based on the number of source words/characters. Factors determining the cost of official translation services in Singapore include:

  • Off-site or on-site assistance.

  • Word/character or page count (each page should average 300 words/characters)
  • Complexity (e.g. email, legal, medical, commercial)
  • Turnaround time (urgent assignments beyond a translator’s daily capacity are subject to 50% to 100% mark-up)
  • Volume discounts may be available
  • Inclusive of a maximum of two edits based on client feedback

Please note that the rates are subject to change depending on:

  • Final word/character count (if vastly different from what was quoted)

Frequently Asked Questions

Legal translation services are harder to perform because the translator must have excellent skills and deep knowledge of international standards, legislation, and law.

For this reason, those providing the translation services must be proficient in the following “languages”: the document’s original language, the target language, and the technical language for both.

An official translation of documents usually includes some form of proof (e.g. a stamp). Alternatively, it's accompanied by a certificate or statement by the official language translator. This applies to all countries, including Singapore.

This certificate or contract confirms the accuracy of the translation work and that the work is easily understandable. It also formally declares that the content has been translated to the translator’s best abilities.
